Dodge, Jeep and Ram Truck took top awards yet again at the annual Texas Truck Rodeo, hosted by the Texas Auto Writers Association (TAWA).
In total, sixty-three crossover vehicles, pickups and SUVs participated in the rodeo this year. The two-day competition involved on and off-road assessments by over forty TAWA members. Vehicles were evaluated in terms of value, utility, technology, design and capability.
“The Ram, Jeep and Dodge brands from Chrysler Group clearly impressed our TAWA members at this year’s event. There’s no doubt,” said Michael Marrs, TAWA president, “that innovative power trains, impressive designs and new technologies are paying off for these brands.”

2014 Jeep Wrangler: The most recognized vehicle in the world has added some nice new characteristics, including a new Trail Kit with gloves, tow strap, two D-rings and a handy bag to carry the lot. Wrangler now has clear turn signal indicators and park lamps, replacing the amber units. Sport models now have the option of Uconnect 6.5 inch touch screen radio with hard drive storage and Sirius XM Radio. Also attainable is it 32-inch Tire and Wheel Group that features semi-gloss black 17-inch Rubicon aluminum wheels and BF Goodrich KM LT255/75R17 off-road tires. The 2014 Wrangler will continue offering these colors: Dune, Black, Bright White, and Billet Silver, while adding on six new colors to choose from: Hydro Blue (Freedom edition only), Granite Crystal, Flame Red, Copperhead, Anvil and Amp’d.
Dodge Durango: Nearly every feature on this SUV is either brand new or greatly updated, making this a wonderful truck to buy this model year. Its best-in-class towing, 360 horsepower, and driving range of over 600 miles is quite impressive. The instrument panel is newly redesigned and sports a new enter stack that contains the new 8.4 inch and 5 inch Uconnect touch screens. The brand new center console has a segment-first rotary shifter for its standard eight-speed automatic, and the new instrument cluster is fully customizable giving the user over 100 ways to utilize information.

Also new for 2014 is its fresh new 5-link coil suspension with optional air suspension on Ram 2500 and an auxiliary air bag suspension option on Ram 3500.
2014 Ram ProMaster: The newest entry in the Ram Commercial lineup, it leads the full-size van segment with it best-in-class cargo capacity, fuel efficiency, usability and low cost. The ProMaster is based on the Fiat Ducato, in production for over 30 years.
