In addition to a truckload of factory-custom vehicles, Chrysler’s Mopar division will unveil a production vehicle at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas next month.
Teaser photos of the Mopar ’14 have been released, showing just enough to confirm that it will be basd on the Dodge Challenger. This will be the fifth Mopar limited-edition vehicle released at SEMA. Chrysler’s service, parts and customer-care brand has built one per year since 2009, when the first Mopar ’10 Challenger was released. It was followed by the Mopar ’11 Charger, Mopar ’12 300 and Mopar ’13 Dart. Each of the custom vehicles to date has featured an aggressive look accomplished with parts available to the public and a 500-car production run. Calling forth the spirit of the Mopar performance brand, these limited-edition cars have been instant collectors’ items as well as offering improved performance.
“Our new Mopar ’14 will instantly resonate with enthusiasts,” says Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar. “This limited-edition ride is for muscle-car fans who love high octane and customizable performance.”
As for the details of the Mopar ’14, apart from reversing Mopar’s trend toward black on black on black cars for the past few years, we’ll have to wait until November 6 to get the full story.
