Lexus dropped hints at its big Detroit debut today, with a teaser photo showing its next F-model vehicle. Set to debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January, the next Lexus F model will extend the brand’s growing performance-vehicle lineup.
Though the single photo Lexus let slip was accompanied by next to no information, the details suggest that what’s to come is an F version of the just-revealed RC Coupe. Rumors suggest that the rear-drive RC F could arrive as soon as 2015, and will eschew the high-powered turbo sixes that are currently in vogue with premium sports coupes in favor of a 5.0 V8 similar to the 430-horse unit currently powering the IS F. Lexus RC coupes with performance trappings have been seen testing at the Nürburgring, so there may be some truth to this rumor.
