The new Striker Green Dodge Viper isn’t the only SRT product getting fancy paint and trim
for 2014. Chrysler’s high-performance brand has introduced a range of Satin Vapor Edition
models that add unique paint and trim that’s evocative of the attitude of each of the cars.
Satin Vapor Editions of the 300 SRT, Challenger SRT and Charger SRT. The Satin Vapor
Editions range from $1700 to $2300, and they go on sale in the spring.
The 300 SRT Satin Vapor Edition gets an imposing gangster-style look, with satin-black
mirrors and spoiler. The roof is also satin-finish black, contrasting with the light colors
on the palate, and the exterior badging is blacked out. Twenty-inch black-chrome wheels are
standard, and a black body stripe is available. Inside, SRT has added black Nappa leather
seats with ultra-suede inserts, carbon trim, and piano-black accents. The 6.4 liter HEMI V8
is under the hood of course, providing 470 horsepwoer and 470 pound-feet of torque.
In the Challenger SRT Satin Vapor Edition, the wheels and mirrors get similar treatment, but
the colors are brighter, with Header Orange and TorRed added to the palate. Red Brembo
brake calipers hint at the Challenger’s performance potential, and the 392 HEMI badges
indicate the 6.4 liter HEMI under the hood.
Last but not least, the Charger SRT Satin Vapor Edition rolls on twenty-inch blacked-out
wheels and features a Super Bee graphic on the tail. The roof and hood are satin black, and
a spoiler and Brembo brakes are standard. The 8.4-inch UConnect touchscreen LED display is
standard, as is the 470-horse 6.4 liter HEMI V8.
