Small-car lovers, take note: the Honda Fit, having watched the entry-level minicar market blow up around it with new entries from Ford, Kia, Hyundai and Chevrolet, is ready to strike back. At the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in a few weeks, Honda will debut the all-new 2015 model. For now, all we’ve got is a teaser photo showing familiar styling and cheerful colors, but Honda says the 2015 Fit will continue the clever cargo capacity and high-efficiency ways of the current car.
For its third generation, the Fit boosts both fuel economy and performance, according to Honda. A new powertrain should boost efficiency, and brings the Fit into line with Honda’s “Earth Dreams Technology.” Honda’s boosted safety as well. It’s been a popular and successful car for Honda, selling out in its first year and consistently making it onto Car and Driver’s Ten Best list every year since 2007.
