I have a twin-engined Hot Wheels car called “Way2Fast” that looks just like this ’32 Ford currently for sale on Hemmings. While it’s not unusual to see hot rods that resemble toy cars, it is uncommon when it’s such a radical toy that’s brought to life.
According to the ad, “It is street legal, but nowhere close to normal. Each engine produces 1,250 horsepower. Each motor has its own fuel system, starter, alternator, and computer system. Both motors can be tuned separately with a laptop computer and then joined together. This is all on a chassis custom engineered to handle 2,500 horsepower paired with a fiberglass Gibbon body.”
I don’t know if this car was the inspiration for the toy, but it’s fun to think that for just $209,000 and a repaint, you could have a life-size Hot Wheels car in the driveway! See more at Hemmings.com.
