Hyundai took the opportunity at the Chicago Auto Show to add a bit of excitement to the
sporty Veloster lineup, with the introduction of the limited-edition RE:FLEX Edition. The
RE:FLEX is an appearance and option package that adds a bit of exclusivity to Hyundai’s
sporty little coupe/hatch, and just 3000 will be built.
The Veloster RE:FLEX edition follows up last year’s RE:MIX edition, and it’s all about
standing out, and features special badging, projector headlamps with LED accents, LED
taillights, fog lights and illuminated door sills. The eighteen-inch wheels are unique to
the RE:FLEX, as are the additional chrome accents on the exterior. A special “Ice Pearl”
color is also available only on this limited-edition. White, orange, black and are also
available.
The interior has been trimmed in black or red leather, and the standard equipment is shared
with the Style Package for the Veloster. This includes piano-black interior trim, an
eight-speaker premium audio system that includes a subwoofer, and a standard backup camera.
Unfortunately, the RE:FLEX is only offered with the 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine with a
six-speed automatic transmission; it can’t be had with the hotter turbocharged powerplant
from the Veloster Turbo.
