If the concept sketches coming out of California are any indicator, Hyundai is planning to go all-out at this year’s SEMA show. After releasing two drawings last week, Hyundai today dropped a third. This time it’s a restyled Genesis Coupe, re-imagined by ARK Performance as a performance luxury coupe.
ARK Performance has renamed the car “Legato,” and has added a full body kit. The Genesis Coupe’s lines are made more extravagant, with exotic-car looks and a planted stance. The interior now sports modified seats, steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster. The more powerful exterior look is matched by a 400-horsepower version of the Genesis Coupe’s 3.8 liter V6. The horsepower boost comes courtesy of upgraded engine internals and a new ARK air intake and headers.
The suspension has been upgraded as well, with an ARK DT-P coilover suspension, lightweight Rays Engineering wheels and carbon brake pads. No performance numbers have been released, but the ARK Performance kit is a good indicator of what’s possible with aftermarket parts for the Genesis Coupe.
The ARK Performance Hyundai Genesis Coupe makes its debut at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, November 5-8.
