With half of the country digging out from a massive Arctic blast today, we just couldn’t resist this video of a 1/10-scale remote controlled Jeep doing its part.
Posted to YouTube by Andrew Dykiel, the RC rig is an SCX10 Rubicon by Axial. If it wasn’t obvious from the video, which shows the mini-Jeep eagerly clearing about an inch of snow, the SCX10 is just as tough as the real deal. Styled like the Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited, Axial’s SCX10 features axles with hardened shafts and locking differentials, a steel frame, adjustable coil-over shocks, 4.6-inch rubber tires and even a spare on a swing-out carrier. It retails for $379.99, and is probably a heck of a lot more fun than a snowblower. Adding the snowplow will set you back another $100 or so. That’s about a tenth the price of the new Jeep Wrangler Polar Edition (plow not included). Or, you can sit in the comfort of your (hopefully) warm home, and just watch the video!
