Driving Fans doesn’t know how they did it, but Nissan’s artful design team managed to reconfigure the next-generation Rogue so that it will accommodate up to seven passengers across three rows of seats. Mind you, like every other compact sized tall wagon, those occupying the optional third row will have to be either small children or wiry contortionists (or perhaps both). From the photo Driving Fans managed to snag it appears the bonus seat is virtually resting on the floor, which means that even smaller riders’ elbows will be resting on their knees. Conversely, just as the Rogue adds extra seating, Toyota removed it as an option when it launched its 2013 RAV4, claiming the “take rate” (purchase) didn’t justify its availability.
